Cyberduck is a free, open-source FTP client available for both Mac and Windows with support for multiple protocols.
Installing Cyberduck
For Mac:
1. Go to cyberduck.io
2. Click "Download for macOS"
3. Open the downloaded .zip file
4. Drag Cyberduck to Applications folder
For Windows:
1. Download Windows installer from cyberduck.io
2. Run the .exe file
3. Follow installation wizard
4. Launch from Start menu
Setting Up Your First Connection
1. Open Cyberduck
2. Click "Open Connection" (+ icon)
3. Choose protocol from dropdown
4. Enter connection details:
Connection Settings:
• Protocol: SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol)
• Server: yourdomain.com
• Port: 22
• Username: Your cPanel username
• Password: Your cPanel password
5. Click "Connect"
Creating Bookmarks
1. Set up connection as above
2. Click "+" to add bookmark
3. Enter a nickname for easy identification
4. Connection details are saved
5. Double-click bookmark to connect quickly
