Installing Thunderbird
1. Download from mozilla.org/thunderbird
2. Install following the setup wizard
3. Launch Thunderbird
4. Choose "Set up an existing email account"
Account Setup Wizard
1. Enter your information:
• Your name: Display name for emails
• Email address: Your full email address
• Password: Your email password
2. Click "Continue"
3. Thunderbird will try to auto-configure
4. If successful, click "Done"
Manual Configuration
If auto-setup fails:
1. Click "Manual config"
2. Enter server settings:
Incoming Server:
• Protocol: IMAP
• Server hostname: mail.yourdomain.com
• Port: 993
• SSL: SSL/TLS
• Authentication: Normal password
• Username: Your full email address
Outgoing Server:
• Server hostname: mail.yourdomain.com
• Port: 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS)
• SSL: SSL/TLS
• Authentication: Normal password
• Username: Your full email address
3. Click "Re-test" to verify settings
4. Click "Done" when successful
