What is Browser Cache?
Browser cache stores website files (images, CSS, JavaScript) on your computer to make websites load faster on repeat visits. Sometimes cached files can cause issues when websites are updated.
When to Clear Cache
- Website not displaying correctly
- Seeing old version of updated website
- Login or form submission issues
- Website loading slowly
- JavaScript errors or broken functionality
Clearing Cache in Chrome
1. Press Ctrl+Shift+Delete (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+Delete (Mac)
2. Select time range (usually "All time")
3. Check "Cached images and files"
4. Optionally check "Cookies and other site data"
5. Click "Clear data"
Clearing Cache in Firefox
1. Press Ctrl+Shift+Delete (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+Delete (Mac)
2. Select time range
3. Check "Cache"
4. Optionally check "Cookies"
5. Click "Clear Now"
Clearing Cache in Safari
1. Go to Safari menu > Preferences
2. Click "Privacy" tab
3. Click "Manage Website Data"
4. Click "Remove All" or select specific sites
5. Click "Done"

Hard Refresh (Force Reload)
Force browser to reload without using cache:
• Windows: Ctrl+F5 or Ctrl+Shift+R
• Mac: Cmd+Shift+R
• Mobile: Pull down to refresh

Test websites without cache/cookies:
• Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N
• Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P
• Safari: Cmd+Shift+N
• Edge: Ctrl+Shift+N
